CarExpert has acquired automotive platform PriceMyCar, representing a major step forward in our long-term customer and marketplace strategy.

The acquisition marks an important shift in CarExpert’s evolution from automotive publisher to a broader end-to-end car buying platform designed to help Australians through the entire purchase journey, from research through to transaction and delivery.

Since launching, CarExpert has focused on helping Australians make more informed new-car decisions through independent reviews, comparisons, showroom data, video content and buying advice. The addition of PriceMyCar strengthens the business’ ability to support customers once they’re ready to actually purchase a vehicle.

Rather than simply generating enquiries and handing customers off, the combined business is focused on building a smoother, more connected buying experience that reduces friction for both customers and dealers.

CarExpert CEO Damon Rielly suggests the acquisition represents a significant milestone for the business and its long-term vision.

“We’ve built a large audience of Australians researching new cars every month. Bringing PriceMyCar into the business allows us to better support customers once they move from research into the buying stage.”
