We’re excited to announce the appointment of Travis Waycott as Director of Marketplace at CarExpert, following our acquisition of key assets from independent new-car and finance brokerage CarVroom.

The acquisition marks an important step in CarExpert’s evolution from Australia’s leading automotive content platform into a full end-to-end new car marketplace, helping consumers move seamlessly from research to purchase.

For years, we’ve connected millions of Australians with dealers through trusted reviews, comparisons, news and buying advice. Bringing CarVroom’s platform and capability into the business allows us to take the next step in that journey by supporting customers all the way through the purchase process, including pricing, finance, insurance and delivery.

The acquired assets include CarVroom’s technology platform, national dealer network and experienced team, led by Waycott, who brings extensive experience across automotive sales, finance and customer operations. Prior to founding CarVroom in 2022, he held senior leadership roles across the automotive and financial services sectors, building expertise in customer acquisition, dealer relationships and business growth.

As Director of Marketplace, Waycott will lead the strategy, growth and operations of CarExpert’s New Car Marketplace, focused on making the car-buying process easier, more transparent and more efficient for Australians.
